Dr. Rachel Dolbin Schreiner is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park where she earned a B.S. in Kinesiology, and a graduate of National University of Health Sciences, Lombard, IL where she earned a B.S. in Human Biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine (DC). She fulfilled her clinical rotations at the National Chiropractic and MRI Center, Lombard, IL where she was voted Chief Intern by her peers. She completed her clinical requirements at the Salvation Army intake hospital in downtown Chicago. Dr. Schreiner is Board Certified by the National College of Chiropractic Examiners in chiropractic and physiotherapy and licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine.

Dr. Schreiner, a fourth generation chiropractor who calls her late father, Dr. Jack Dolbin, her inspiration and mentor in the field, loves working with patients of all ages, fitness levels and phases of health, though does hold a passion for young athletes. She is trained to diagnose and treat all orthopedic and spinal conditions that don’t require invasive surgical procedures or medication. She takes a true integrative approach by communicating directly with her patient’s other health care practitioners and referring when necessary.

She was certified in Webster Technique by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association in 2008. This technique is used on pregnant women to restore and maintain optimal pelvic and lower back mobility to best prepare fetal positioning and the woman’s body for labor and delivery. She is a fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture and utilizes needling for pain management. She is trained in Kinesiotaping and Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and uses both liberally in her practice. She uses a wide variety of joint mobilization techniques to best fit each patient’s needs. Everything from the HVLA (high velocity low amplitude i.e. Diversified technique) to activator / pro adjuster techniques, drop table and Flexion/Distraction of the cervical and lumbar regions for injured discs. She is currently working on becoming a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) through the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. She is an active member of the American Chiropractic Association, International Chiropractic Association and the Virginia Chiropractic Association.

While at the University of Maryland, Dr. Schreiner was a Division I NCAA gymnast and Co-Captain of the Gymnastics team her Junior and Senior seasons. She was voted conference Rookie of the Year in 1997 and was the first Terp in the program’s history to score over 39 points in the all around, which she accomplished her Freshman season.

When not seeing patients, Dr. Schreiner enjoys time with her family and friends. She loves cheering on her children’s sports teams and encouraging them in other activities. She loves the Denver Broncos and Washington Nationals despite their struggles. She enjoys collecting art (mostly her childrens’), discovering new music (she now calls herself a “Swiftie”), bird watching, growing anything and pursuing her ongoing adventure of learning the piano.
